Have you get on board the Stop Child Abuse Campaign by UNICEF Malaysia?
I think child abuse is just like cancer. Most of the time, we do not aware that it exists until it’s at the final stage. Sometimes it’s too late to do anything about it.
The victim might has been severely injured (both physically and emotionally) or worst, died.
I do hope that the horrible child abuse case like the late Syafiah Humaira Sahari NEVER happens ever again!
Syafiah was a poor 3 year old girl who was severely abused by her mother’s boyfriend. He *the animal* kicked the little girl repeatedly with his soccer boot until she dropped dead.
There were many people watching but nobody dare or care to stop the bastard!
Those who watched said they didn’t stop the cruel action because they thought the man was her father. Hello!! Even if it is the father or mother who is abusing their children it is absolutely very WRONG and you must do something to stop it.
The best cure to cancer or child abuse is prevention.
Just like cancer, people do not know that child abuse is happening because of lack of knowledge. Most people assume child abuse is only physical abuses that cause injuries to the bodies and sexual abuse. But there could also be emotional abuse happening.
Do you know that in 2008, nearly half of child abuse offenders were parents of the victims. Just imagine a helpless little child, who depends completely on their parents, ending up being abused by them.
The child obviously can not anything but YOU CAN!!
Mothers and all people around the child must protect our children and must know how to do so. Knowledge is the key and I believe the Get on Board campaign provides all the information needed for people to learn more about child abuse and how to act on one.
Child abuse is our problem. It is time to stop watching and take action.

Assalamualaikum,
I was blogwalking and came accross this blog yesterday. I support the campaign to STOP CHILD ABUSE and hope that the campaign will create awareness and help prevent cases like adik Syafiah and other kids like her.
Btw, I found this and your Mombloggersplanet interesting. I wonder whether you come accross bloggers who write about their child’s education particularly on primary or junior school(local or international).
I also would like permission to link your blog to mine. Thank you.
1amsterdam, hi..yes sure you can link to mine..i’ll add yours soon 🙂
